STEM Community Officer

Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 pro rata part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE)
This role is an 18-month fixed term contract

STEM Learning is seeking a dynamic and creative STEM Community Officer to join our innovative Marketing and Customer Experience team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the STEM Ambassador Community - an online community of practice and part of the UK’s largest STEM volunteering programme - by inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators.

The Role

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining a vibrant online community that connects STEM Ambassadors, educators, and stakeholders.

Working alongside the STEM Community Manager, you’ll:

  • Create compelling content: Share engaging articles, videos, and interactive campaigns that bring STEM to life.
  • Foster engagement: Lead initiatives like competitions, milestone celebrations, and online discussions to keep the community buzzing with activity.
  • Champion skills development: Promote STEM-related skills and training opportunities for community members.
  • Showcase careers in STEM: Highlight the inspiring career journeys of STEM Ambassadors to encourage young people to pursue STEM pathways.
  • Build partnerships: Collaborate with key employers, educational institutions, and volunteers to amplify the community’s impact.
  • Shape the future: Take ownership of innovative projects and continuously improve how we engage and inspire our network.
