STEM Learning is looking for a motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team and help us unlock the power of data to drive our mission forward.

The Role

As a Data Analyst at STEM Learning, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging analytics and data science methodologies to enhance our understanding of our offerings, deepen our knowledge of our audience, and measure the impact of our work.

You will work collaboratively with the Impact and Evidence Team and the Data Team to apply advanced data modelling, predictive modelling, and analytical techniques to generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embed Data Analytics: Provide high-quality BAU data reporting, identify new analytics needs, and develop sustainable reporting solutions.
  • Champion Analytics: Position analytics and data science as central to the organisation, driving quantitative analytics projects for robust impact measurement and deeper audience understanding.
  • Stay Current: Integrate external evidence into our analytics portfolio and proactively suggest new initiatives.
  • Communicate Insights: Serve as the point of contact for analytics expertise, disseminate findings in an accessible manner, and present data insights to non-specialist audiences.
  • Support Leadership: Lead sector-leading analytics efforts, contribute to thought leadership, and identify collaboration opportunities with other leading organisations.

    • Experience: Demonstrable experience with large datasets and advanced predictive analyses. Proficiency in Power BI is essential.
    • Skills: Expertise in quantitative data analyses, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex findings into plain English.
    • Qualities: Positive, conscientious, inquisitive, and solution-oriented. Strong self-motivation, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work well under pressure. Stakeholder management, ability to form effective working relationships and highly skilled in advancing a reasoned, evidence-led case for a course of action.

      The National STEM Learning Centre & Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of resources, on-line and physical networking and communities and partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward on-going development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in teaching STEM subjects to young people.
